Truth be told... the Mk1 of the programming box was always more of a proof-of-concept than an actually usable thing. It was used once or twice, but was so unwieldy that it really needed improvement.
After a long time, the work on the new layout finally began almost a year ago.
Earlier this year, I took this blog offline for a variety of reasons - lack of time was one of them, and the cost factor also played a role. I wasn't sure whether it would come back, but I kept a backup either way. But in the meantime, some good progress was made on the build, and a few other things happened which both warrant articles to examine them in detail, and made me feel like I want to write about them.
2021 is behind us by over a month already It's hard to believe how fast such a busy and eventful year can end.
Every now and then, I'll post my actual train sightings, especially if they relate to what is running on our layout.
